There are millions of websites out on the internet, all jostling for your attention. Why should you read this website?

This website is for you if you’re looking for Christian, Spirit-inspired content. How can you know that the content will deliver this promise?

The journey to this website first started in April 2000, at the height of the COVID-19 epidemic. I was living in Singapore and the Singapore government had imposed what it called a “circuit breaker”, which basically forced a lockdown on the small island state. All businesses except non-essential ones were shut, people had to work from home and no social gatherings were allowed.

When the circuit breaker first started, I had a prompting from God that told me that this would be a time of “spiritual riches” for me. True enough, something amazing happened to my spiritual life in April 2000. My prayer life just took off. When I prayed, I felt such a deep sense of peace and joy, just waves and waves of ecstasy washing over my body as I soaked in the presence of God. During that time, I prayed for about 4-5 hours a day. At that time, something else changed in my spiritual life. I began to hear God’s voice directly. I knew it was God’s voice because the voice always revealed to me something that was very wise and which I knew I couldn’t have come up with from my logical mind. For example, the voice told me that I had to prioritise rest, that my path to success would be the path of rest.

Now since I tend to have a Type A personality, a driven soul that thrives from working and achieving, being told to rest didn’t make sense to me. So I asked God, “Why is rest so important?” God told me gently, “That’s because rest is the essence of God. Whenever you’re praying, deeply connected to God’s blissful presence, there’s always a sense of rest. So if you’re always living a life where you’re working and stressed out, you’re cutting yourself off from God, who is the source and essence of rest.”

This experience of hearing from God directly inspired me to start a Christian ministry where I could share what God had revealed to me through His Spirit.

One key thing which God told me is that God has a plan for everyone’s life. Everyone has a unique God-given purpose and destiny. And if you work towards achieving that unique God-given purpose and destiny, God will bless you with the Ephesians 3:20 life, where you are blessed above anything you could have asked for or imagined. I felt God calling me to start a ministry that would teach people how to achieve their purpose. My own purpose is to live a life that follows God’s guidance through listening to His Spirit. I hope through my ministry to also teach others how to listen to the Spirit so they can live the Ephesians 3:20 life. Another related aspect of that ministry is to teach resilience, to help people learn how to overcome the challenges they will face when they are pursuing their purpose. My ministry would include writing articles and books, as well as providing coaching and running workshops.

Another big part of my Christian ministry is related to the influence Joel Osteen has on my life. In case you didn’t know, Osteen is the pastor of Lakewood Church, one of the largest churches in the US. I used to be a very negative person before listening to his sermons, always worried and depressed. After I read his book, his message of positive faith in Christ so changed my life to one of joy and resilience that I now divide my life into two parts – BO (Before Osteen – down and distressed) and AO (After Osteen – happy and hopeful). My dream is to be able to have a ministry like Osteen’s, teaching millions of people around the world how to be more than a conqueror in the face of mighty storms.

A primary gift which I hope to use for my ministry is my gift for writing. I’ve always had a flair for the written word and love to craft words that dance across the page like fluttering butterflies.

To hone my writing skills, I studied English Literature and graduated
at the top of my class at the University of East Anglia and also won a scholarship to study my Masters in English Literature at the University of Oxford.

I published two Christian novels in my early twenties with Penguin and already started winning awards for my writing, including awards from the BBC and the Singapore Literature Prize for my novel “Mammon Inc”.

Since I found that I preferred writing non-fiction to fiction, I switched to becoming a freelance journalist and copywriter and have written for publications such as TIME, the New York Times, Forbes and Harper’s Bazaar. I have also written for Christian publications like Christianity Today and IMAGE.

It is my dream to transform the lives of millions with the insights that God has shared with me and I hope that the wisdom I’ve gleaned from God will bless you in the same way it has blessed me.
